Building in public, starting now
For years my site was a stale HTML page I never touched. This is the reset.
I’m Abdun Nahid — a senior software engineer with 8+ years building enterprise systems, side projects, and, lately, a homelab full of self-hosted services and a personal AI agent. I’ve shipped a lot and written about almost none of it. That changes here.
What I’ll write about
- Software engineering — real, applied work: full-stack and backend with .NET, Angular, Node, TypeScript, and the tradeoffs that don’t make it into tutorials.
- AI development & agents — building with LLMs, automating my own workflows, and running an autonomous agent that helps operate my homelab.
- Homelab & cloud — self-hosting with Docker, networking, storage, and Azure — learned by running it for real, not in theory.
- Career — lessons from 8+ years, and what building in public actually does for an engineer.
Why now
The fastest way I learn is by building and explaining. Writing forces the second part. And in an era where AI can draft endlessly, the differentiator is real experience and a point of view — so that’s what I’ll bring: concrete things I’ve built, with the messy details intact.
More soon. If any of this is your thing, the blog is where it’ll land.
